Yes, it's true. After 3 frustrating days on the computer finding "disappearing" tickets, we have our tickets (they actually arrived today, too!!!!). We'll be flying out Tuesday, June 19, arriving in Bogota Wednesday, June 20, and hopefully getting Nicholas on Thursday. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! It's a week later than we had hoped, but we are trusting in God's perfect timing.
We spent the rest of yesterday and most of today running around getting our VISA info collected. That will be sent overnight to Chicago tomorrow morning (we missed the post office deadline today) and hopefully back to us mid-week. The boys were troopers as they rode from site to site getting the necessary paperwork keeping their eyes on the skies as the "super cell" moved in --pretty uneventful. Child care has been arranged. Now to clean out Sam and Alex' temporary bedroom and pack (and pick up a few key Spanish phrases from our neighbors). I sure am glad Chris has the next few days off.
It is so hard to believe that what we've been working on for so long is finally coming to pass. God has done so many amazing things and grown our family in so many different ways throughout this process. We have seen Him provide when we had given up and watched as Sam, Alex and Nate learned about trusting God for EVERY thing (we have nothing on our own), seeing His blessing in even the smallest things and His faithfulness when we obey --a lesson many of us never learn. We could NOT have done ANY of this without Him. And we continue to give Him the glory. We can't wait to see how He'll continue to work.
What a happy day! We're coming mihijo (my son)!
