Day 1 with Daddy gone

Chris left yesterday at about 2:00 PM and if my calculating is right, should be on his way to rescue Rick and Abby from the boys. It was sad seeing only 1 adult place at the breakfast table this morning. I even got my water pitcher downsized at lunch :(.

We had a good morning. Nicholas took a nap and I went craft shopping with Shelby and Rachel (the other American couple). So much fun!!! I´m hoping to go back since everything was so resonalbly priced --don´t tell Chris :). After lunch Nick and I played outside --it´s a beautiful day and then Nick took his afternoon nap. I took that opportunity to to finish cropping pictures. The 18 months I brought along is finished, now to finish my last two books and I can go home :).

When I picked up Nick from his nap this PM I said, "Bessas, Mommy¨." HE DID IT!!!! He gave me a nice kiss on the lips --the first time. It was so sweet!!!

Oh yeah, daddy´s not even gone 24 hours and Nicholas has a nice goose egg. He fell down the big steps onto the marble-type floor. He´s back to his chipper self now, though.

We´ll I´d better run. The maid is threatening to take Nicholas home with her.

I have been praying for you all day as I was thinking you would have a more difficult time with Chris gone - but NO your out shopping. From the sounds of it I better start praying Chris gets a raise.
Glad you got your photo's cropped. It really doesn't take to long.
How thrilling to have him show you affection!
Awsome picture of the 3 of you.
Take care and I wish I could be a fly in the corner tonight at your house. I bet the boys were very happy to see daddy.
Have a good day tomorrow and don't forget to pray for Charley as he has his surgery tomorrow.

Well lets try this again. I lost everything as I could not remember my password. I have not been able to sleep after the 3 sheriff's cars went by about 3am so I am writing you a (not so) quick note before I go to bed again.
We had a great time with the boys at the Blooming Prairie parade. Rick said they had to eat all their candy before Chris got home. He should have his hands full.
Grandpa Rich got to sit with them Thursday morning while Rick and Abby went to work. Abby's Mom came for the rest of the day and I think they had fun with Mykal and Caleb (Abby's brother). They all played together like they were old friends.
I went berry picking with them last week and got a kick out of Alex who by the time we left was purple from his nose to his chin and from his elbows to his fingertips. I wish I had a camera.
You've got some really nice boys.
When do you expect to be back? I have friends who will be flying through Bogata on the 25th if you think you might need somthing from home please let me know and I can send it to you.
They also said that the Northwest Pilots are giving the airlines a hard time and there may be delays especally around the end of the month. Just a warnimg:)
We are praying for you everyday and are impatient for your return.
Hey, rumor has it that the Barnes girls are taking over this blog is there any truth to the rumor?

OH! And, Addison still doesn't say MOMMY-- so you've known him for a shorter time and already he's doing it.... she's got a thing to learn from her new cousin! :)

Nikki & Nicholas,

I have been thinking of you and praying for you both the last few days. It is easier for me to remember to pray for you when I can see your sons here at home. I am not sure how I ended up spending several days in a row with them but that's how it ended up. Mykal, of course, wanted to play with Sam and Abby's brother Caleb was here so Mykal wanted play with him too. Tuesday night I brought pizza over and they had a big pillow fight. Poor Nathan was so sleepy you could not look at him without him crying. I think he thought I was you for a minute again because he wanted me to put my arm around him and cuddled in. For a skinny little guy, Alex, can really pack away the food. They were very well behaved every time I was with them. They are wonderful boys. Hopefully they did not get sunburned yesterday at the parade. Mykal never gets sunburned but Mark and I are toasty.

We will continue to pray for you both and also for your family at home to be safe and not to miss you too much. Be safe and remember we love you and that I am the one that's the good sister. (shhh, Melinda is on vacation and she won't know.)

We will be delighted to Bessa Chris and the boys when we see them too. The guys should squirm over that! giggle.
Have a good time getting to know each other. God is good.
I feel very peaceful about you all now.
