OK. So I REALLY have a bad attitude today. I want nothing more than to come home, and it´s not looking like it´s happening. And I´m really feeling the pressure. My actual ticket is scheduled for next Tuesday --YIPPEE!!!! except that Friday is a holiday so the government will be shut down again. It would really be nice to sign sentencia by tomorrow so that more paperwork won´t be slowed.
It´s funny. So many people (both in the States and here) told me that our process would be a quick one because Nicholas is "special needs". WRONG!!!!!!! Oh well. As someone wise once said,"Everyone comes home, Nikkie. No one who´s adopted a child from Colombia is still there months later."
Sunday we had a nice surprise. A family from Minnesota who´s adopted 2 children from here in Colombia came for a visit. They are back to show the kids Bogota and where they came from. It was fun to meet Lance and Amy and 3 of their 4 children and hear a bit about home.
Here are some photos from Nicholas playing yesterday. He still has that bright, shiny smile that really does brighten your day. I´m going to go snuggle him now. That will help my mood.
Ready....Set....

Nikki & Nicko,
I don't know if it helps but I am having a rough day too. I have asked the Lord for patience and he has given me many oppurtunities to practice patience these last few days. Sometimes I wonder why he works like that. He does not just give you patience, he gives you oppurtunities to practice patience and to learn how to practice patience. I am going to have to trust Luke 1:37 even if some things seem impossible.
I will continue to pray for you each and every day until you return and then even after that I will continue to pray for you and your family. I love you guys!
we are praying for you every day,we hope you get nicholas soon .from Mykal.
