Bienestar went well this AM. The social worker was impressed with how well Nicholas has bonded with us. She wished us well and told us to see the city.
Next step? Wait for Sentencia!!!! PLEASE come quickly. But we will wait :)
Chris and I are trying to figure out the best way to see the sites. We are unable to to bring Nicholas out of the house more than necessary and hate to leave him here. Fortunately, we really only want to see 2 things --the Salt Cathedral and Monte (ugh! I can´t remember how to spell it). Anyway, we´re told the maids are willing to watch the children, so maybe we´ll do that. It´s just so hard to leave him again. The whole separation anxiety thing is magnified 10 times because of returning to FANA for his health care.
For Chris and I it has been fun seeing the city through the eyes of the residents rather than as tourists. We were downtown this morning and have seen many different neighborhoods on our trips to FANA (each Taxi driver took a different way). We were a bit disappointed this AM, though. Our legal secretary, Maria Theresa, is a much more cautious than the Taxi drivers :). We had hoped to video it for yáll, but it was not to be. Perhaps on our way to FANA for Nicholas´check-up Tuesday.
Boys, have fun at Rick and Abby´s house. BE GOOD !!!! :). I bet if you´re good she´ll take you to Melinda´s to Blog :) We love you!!!!

Whew!! Glad that's done-- and now the next set of waiting begins. Do you get ample warning as to the date of court-- or do you only get a 12 hour notice or something?? Do you know a worst case scenerio on timing for that? I hate to be a pessimist-- it's just easiest to have a "worst case" in mind! ;) Listen to me.... just got my last paycheck-- those might be missed;
Great News!! The boys are busy cleaning and packing so they can play. I have been folding laundry all morning and still have 2 loads to finish before they leave.
They are excited about coming back. I told them I would love to have them back but that I hoped they wouldn't be because that would mean you were home with Nicholas.

Hey Thayers! The computers and phones have been acting up here. I don't know if this note will even post...the others haven't but just wanted to let you know we're so happy Nicholas is doing better and that your Bienstar appt. went well. We are praying for you guys. What an adventure?! How do the Colombian hospitals compare to the U.S. ones? Cari was wondering that, since she has experience in South American hospitals. Take care and keep posting! God is good.
